A Math Manipulative Picture Book
A playful introduction to math and recognizing numbers.
Around The Town uses Cuisenaire's Introductory Manipulative Rod Set for all the pictures in this book. It has no equations so your child doesn't have to know how to read to enjoy it. It is very much like putting together a puzzle, match the correct rod to the number on the page.
There are ten different rods, each a different length and color, that correspond with shapes and numbers within each picture (like painting by numbers).
Allow your child to become acquainted with the rods and be creative.
Because of small pieces, we recommend adult supervision at all times.
Just step back and watch their imaginations grow!
